Tyneside Badminton Centre’s recently launched Inspire Youth Group, which is fully inclusive, has received a very positive response, with eight participants attending the first two sessions.

Sessions aim to support and empower young people with physical, sensory and learning disabilities, while enhancing mental health and wellbeing in a fun and safe environment.

Each session is packed with a mix of different activities, such as team games, arts and crafts, physical games, and even a cooking station.

Kai, said: “I love attending the new group with Amy, Clare and all the other participants.

“The group now gives me something to look forward to every week as after Covid, I have been unable to attend any session like this.

“I have been able to make some new friends and take part in a variety of activities at the Inspire Youth Group.”

If you would like to get involved, sessions take place every Tuesday evening at Tyneside Badminton Centre, 6-7:30pm and cost just £3 – price includes all activities, a drink and a snack.
