What a great couple of days of competition for the NBA Junior Super Series this half term!
The Year 7 & under singles event was full, consisting of 18 players. Entries were a great mix of returning players and some competing for the first time. Winning on the day was Aryan Kalluri, retaining his title from the Christmas tournament. The runner up, Robert Duffy fought hard to the end. The afternoon brough us the doubles competition, with an entry of 7 pairs. The Kalluri brothers, Aryan and Aniniruddh teamed up together and took the win with second place going to Robert Duffy and Daniel Proctor.
The Year 10 & Year 11 doubles competition title was retained by the Jefferson siblings, Matthew, and James, who teamed up and gave a strong fight against the second placed pair Matthew Duffy and Ayoub Hussain. The singles event, with 10 entrants welcomed both familiar and new faces. Coming out on top was Matthew Jefferson and in the runners up spot, Alex Sutherland.
11 entries into the Year 8 & Year 9 singles event, showcased a wide range of experience. After their success in the Year 7 & Under event the day before Aryan Kalluri gave the competition a go and found himself winning! The final was a great game of badminton, between Aryan and runner-up, Harry Thomson. The doubles event in the afternoon, after recovering from the morning, saw Harry Thomson take the doubles win with partner Sam Vincent.
The two days were great we are already looking forward to the next tournaments to be hosted during the Easter Holidays.
